The cottagecore aesthetic is taking 2021 by storm. If you aren’t familiar with cottagecore fashion think Taylor Swift. It’s her signature style – flowy clothing that makes you want to run around in a field of pampas grass and possibly milk a cow just because. Cottagecore outfits encompass floral prints and beautiful pastel colors – they’re reminiscent of fairy tales and folklore and make you feel at peace.
While cottagecore fashion is currently trending, vintage cottagecore clothing is not something that was made for my style. After researching this fashion trend and searching Pinterest up and down for a piece of cottagecore clothing that would fit my style, I finally landed on a cottagecore aesthetic I think I can pull off – modern cottagecore dresses. These dresses are perfect for the upcoming spring season (floral) and look absolutely beautiful. Below are five places I’ve found that have officially gotten me excited about the cottagecore look.

1. Lulus
Lulus.com is one of my absolute favorite places to buy dresses. They have dresses for all occasions and all seasons – winter, New Year’s Eve, Summer, or just for fun. They are moderately priced and hit the mark on the cottagecore dress aesthetic. Below are my top three cottagecore dress picks; I even threw in a traditional (kind of modern) cottagecore dress option for those of you who adore the vintage cottagecore look but want to keep the modern appeal.
2. Nasty Gal
Nasty Gal killed the cottagecore aesthetic with these three styles below. Floral print – CHECK. Gorgeous flow – CHECK. Pastel – CHECK. You couldn’t go wrong with any of these modern cottagecore dresses, plus they’re all currently 55% off!
3. Petal & Pup
Petal & Pup is a brand I see popping up all over social media in 2021 and for good reason – their dresses are absolutely gorgeous! They’re more of an investment when compared to Nasty Gal, but are well worth it. How CUTE is the third cottagecore dress? These dresses could be dressed up or dressed down to be worn all year long.
4. Missguided
These Missguided cottagecore dresses are the more affordable options on this list and are an absolute steal in my opinion. Their site is filled with cottagecore aesthetic options but below are my top three. BRB – running to buy number three so I can rock it on the gram.
5. House of CB
Ah, House of CB, the most expensive of the five but when I tell you I can see why I mean it! These dresses are stunning and if you’re absolutely obsessed with the cottagecore aesthetic then they are well worth the investment. These dresses have a corset top so you can tackle two trends in one, and really embody the cottage feel.
