WINTER WORK OUTFITS THAT WILL KEEP YOU STYLISH BUT COZY

Winter work outfits can be some of the hardest outfits to put together and buy for. If you live anywhere that drops below 40 degrees then that challenge doubles. Thankfully I live in Las Vegas so our winters are pretty mild BUT still cold. In this week’s blog post I talk about my top 4 winter workwear pieces that I wear when it starts to get a bit chilly but I also want to look professional and stylish.

1. MAXI DRESSES

Maxi dresses are the perfect winter staple and make the perfect winter dress for women. In many places (like the west coast) you’re able to wear maxi dresses all season long. That means that investing in cute, high-quality maxi dresses are well worth it, especially when it comes to work attire.
Since a maxi dress is often a single piece, styling it in winter has never been easier. Just grab your favorite pair of heels, throw on a pair of earrings, and grab your blazer or sweater on your way out. Maxi dresses are also perfect for layering. You can throw a turtleneck under a spaghetti strap or even layer a casual maxi with a blazer.

PRO TIP: Maxi dresses combined with your favorite pair of pumps make the cutest day-to-night winter date night outfits.

2. MIDI SKIRTS

Midi skirts are the fanciest (and my favorite) winter essential. You can dress them up for a more “profesh” look or dress them down for a more casual look. They can be combined with closet staples like plain t-shirts or long-sleeve shirts. Midi skirts always look sleek, especially paired with your favorite pair of pumps or a blazer. You can also pair these skirts with a chunky sweater and knee-high boots for the ultimate professional winter skirt outfit.

3. PAPERBAG PANTS

I am the biggest paperbag pant fan when it comes to winter work outfits! As an avid work-dress wearer who hates wearing pants, paperbag pants (or trousers) are my go-to when I’m too cold to wear a dress. I am completely convinced that they look amazing on all body types and are super simple to style. Paperbag pants are another closet item that you can pair with your favorite t-shirt or turtle neck from your laundry and style it up to look like a top-notch businesswoman. Throw on your favorite flats or pumps and you’re ready to be the next CEO.

4. SUMMER WORK DRESSES TURNED WINTER

Why buy a whole new outfit when you can recycle and reuse an old summer dress? My favorite style last season was silk or satin cami dresses. Turn your favorite summer dress into a cute winter work outfit by layering it with your favorite turtle neck and a stylish, waist-cinching belt. Add some cute booties and you’re instantly ready to conquer your 10 o’clock meeting.
